Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME grants made available by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Provides financial incentives and assistance for the rehabilitation of owner-occupied, single family dwellings, including mobile homes. Incentives are also offered to owners of rental property.

Eligible repairs:
Examples of eligible activities might include: repairs to plumbing, heating, electrical repairs; painting/restucco; window/door replacement; roof repairs; handicap accessibility renovation (wheelchair ramps); driveway repairs; correction of code violations. Repairs must be necessary and cannot include luxury upgrades. A home inspection by City staff is required.

Income Eligibility:
The level of financial assistance is based on family size and gross annual income for all adult household members over the age of 18.
Loans - for large projects (Single-family, Owner-occupied). Eligibility based on income, level of credit, and the amount of applicant's debt. A City staff person can help explain program requirements. One loan maximum per residence/applicant.
Grants - smaller projects (Owner-occupied and mobile homes). One grant maximum per residence/applicant.
Rebates - smaller projects (Owner-occupied and mobile homes). You may apply for a rebate every two years.
Rental Rehabilitation - grants and rebates to owners of rental property (1-4 units), provided tenants meet income criteria.
