Benefits
Medical
Management Employees City contracts for health benefits through PERS. City's contribution for active/retiree management is $2,097.91 per month. Management employees receive a rebate of 50% of unused monthly allocation. Insurance is for employee and their dependents.
General Employees City contracts for health benefits through PERS. City's contribution for active/retiree is $770.00 per month. Insurance is for employee and their dependents.
Dental
Management & General Employees City contracts for dental benefits through Delta Dental. The City pays the full premium $116.35. Insurance is for employee and their dependents.
Vision
Management Employees The City contracts with VSP for vision insurance. The City pays the full premium of $27.43 per month. Insurance is for employee and dependents.
General Employees The City contracts for vision benefits through VSP. The City pays the full premium $11.42 per month. Insurance is for employee and dependents.
Life Insurance
Management Employees City contracts for life insurance benefits through Standard Life. The City provides a policy worth 1.5 times annual salary. City pays the full premium .21 cents per $1,000 per month and .025 cents per $1,000 AD&D per month.
General Employees City contracts for life insurance benefits through Standard Life. The City provides a $5,000 insurance policy. City pays the full premum .22 cents per $1,000 Basic Life and .025 cents per $1,000 AD&D per month. After employed 5 years, insurance is increased to 1.5 annual salary.
Long Term Disability
Management & General Employees City contracts for LTD insurance benefits through The Standard. The premium is based on Full-time salaries: $1.01 per $100. Waiting period: 60 days; pays 2/3 of salary. Executive Management employees receive an additional Executive Plan. Waiting period: 90 days; pays 3/4 of salary.
Retirement
Management & General Employees PERS Retirement Rate: 2.7% at 55. City pays employee's contribution of 8%.

Vacation, Sick, Holiday Leave Accurals
Management Employees Vacation: 1 year of service = 80 hours; Over 1 year of service, but less than 10 years = 120 hours; 10 years or more of service = 160 hours.
Sick: Accrue 8 hours each calendar month. May accumulate up to 720 hours. Employee paid off in excess of 720 hours.
Holiday: 12 paid holidays (includes two floating holidays per fiscal year, floating holidays are prorated on hire date).
Management Leave: 80 hours per year, prorated on hire date.
General Employees Vacation: Less than 5 years of service = 80 hours; 5 years, but less than 10 years of service = 120 hours; 10 years or more of service = 160 hours.
Sick: Employee accrues 8 hours each month. Upon the completion of probationary period, sick leave can be used. May accumulate up to 720 hours. Employee paid off in excess of 720 hours.
Holiday: 12 paid holidays (includes two floating holidays per fiscal year, floating holidays are prorated on hire date.)
