To provide quality financial information, services and technology to the public, City Departments and decision makers in accordance with legal requirements, ethical financial practices and current industry standards.

To assist in the preparation, review, and approval of the City's annual budget. To manage the collection of City revenues in the most effective and efficient manner. To pay all vendors timely and accurately. To administer the Investment Portfolio of the City in a manner consistent with sound, prudent, intelligent and conservative financial practices and investment policies. To provide citywide purchasing, warehousing, mail, telecommunications, and computer network support services. To provide for the issuance of dog licenses and collection of license fees to defray the cost of animal control and animal shelter care. To procure all equipment, supplies and services using integrity and prudence in obtaining the lowest cost commensurate with quality needed.

Dog Licensing
Norwalk requires all dogs over the age of 4 months have a rabies vaccination and a license. License tags must be worn by the dog at all times. Licenses for dogs are sold in Room 5 at Norwalk City Hall, 12700 Norwalk Boulevard, (562) 929-5711, Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and alternating Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. City Hall is closed every other Friday.
