Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District Confirms West Nile Virus Activity in the City of Norwalk
The GLACVCD has confirmed WNV‐positive test results for mosquitoes collected near the intersection of Imperial Hwy and Bloomfield Ave. Operations staff are surveying the area and have posted signs in nearby public areas. However, based on the level of activity we have detected so far this year, it is safe to assume that West Nile virus is active throughout the Los Angeles basin. Modernizing Norwalk's Utility Users Tax
On July 15, 2014, the Norwalk City Council voted unanimously to place a measure on the November 4, 2014 ballot that, if passed, will modernize the decades old Utility Users Tax ordinance that was originally adopted in 1992.
