The Norwalk Arts & Sports Complex (NASC) is located at 13000 Clarkdale Avenue. Everyone is invited to tour our facility and see why the NASC is a recreational and arts facility the whole family will enjoy. The Cultural Arts Center offers a variety of special events, instructional classes, a full musical rehearsal facility, and the Mary Paxon Art Gallery. The Sports Center offers a wide variety of sports and fitness programs for all ages. Facilities include basketball gym, boxing room, racquetball courts, and an exercise room with state-of-the-art equipment. The NASC is open to all Norwalk residents, those employed in Norwalk (proof required), and non-residents (additional fee will apply). Cultural Programs

The Cultural Arts Center is located within the Norwalk Arts & Sports Complex. The Center offers a wide variety of classes, programs and workshops designed to give participants of all ages an opportunity for creative expression. Classes have included "Primary Colors", an introductory art class for tots; "Wigglemania", a music and movement program for tots; "Sew Cool", a basic sewing class for youth, "Kids & Cable", "Kids Playhouse", "Arty Facts", "Science Classes", and many more including the City of Norwalk Youth Mariachi Program. For family fun, you can join us for Family Art Nights and Museum Excursions. Art Center special events include the celebration of Read Across America and the Birthday of Dr. Seuss, Community Book Fair, Haunted Art Studio, and Day of the Dead Celebration.

In addition to activities, the Center hosts the Mary Paxon Art Gallery. The Gallery is 1,400 square feet of exhibit space for local and area artists. Free!!!! Cultural Arts Center Special Event "Artastic" Evening
Friday, May 21 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Visit your local Art Center for an artistic evening. This is an event for the entire family. The night will feature free art activities and projects for youth, a Community Book Fair, multiple art exhibits, and entertainment by the Norwalk All-City Youth Band and our Youth Mariachi Group. The evening will also feature art demonstrations by mouth and foot painting artists. Visit our facility and learn about the programs available to the community. Come see first hand the type of classes you can join and the type of artwork you can create. The following art exhibits will be featured: "Art of Rancho" featuring artist from Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, "Norwalk Community Is" featuring students in the Norwalk/La Mirada High School and Middle School Art Competition, and Norwalk Recreation Tots and Parks featuring participants in the community.

Community Book Fair

Tuesday-Friday 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. & Saturday 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
The Book Fair will be open additional hours during the "Artastic" Evening event at the Cultural Arts Center on Friday, May 21 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. It is free to attend the Book Fair. The more children read, the better they become at reading. The more enjoyable the things they read are, the more they will read. Visit our Book Fair to find enjoyable books for your children and teach them to fall in love with reading early in life!

Art Exhibit Date: May 21-June 11
Artist Reception Date/Awards Night: Friday, May 21 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Norwalk Cultural Arts Center is hosting its first Art Competition. We are inviting high school and middle school students from the Norwalk/La Mirada School District to compete in the Art Competition. The name of the exhibit is "Norwalk Community Is." Please submit your best piece of work or something that you are most proud of. Mediums that will be accepted include: photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, and computer art. All artwork must be mounted, matted, or framed. Please A total of $400 in scholarships will be awarded to the top artists. The Norwalk Golf Center is owned, operated, and maintained by the City of Norwalk. It offers a challenging 9-hole, par 3 golf course, warm-up driving range, and a putting green. Visit the new and improved Teen Center. We are offering all types of school work assistance that will be sure to interest you. We can help you improve your study skills as well as help you get your homework done. Computer! Yes, we now have nice computers. We want you to be successful academically so we are providing you with as many learning tools as we can. The Teen Center also has workshops, tournaments, and many more activities! Stop by the Teen Center and pick up a monthly calendar and Newsletter or join the Teen Alliance Program to get valuable information mailed to you. This program is free. No registration is necessary.
