In May, the City of Norwalk's Community Promotion Commission opened the Home and Business Beautification Contest, calling for nominations of properties, both single family and multi-family homes, as well as businesses, that demonstrate community pride. Residents and business owners who devote time and effort to maintaining their property's curb appeal help to increase home values, maintain quality of life for others, and make themselves and their neighbors proud.
"We want to show our appreciation," says Commission Chair David Ang, "for all the hard work that goes into having a nice looking home or business. We all benefit from beautiful and well-kept neighborhoods."
Commissioners Josh Forsythe, Christina Garamoni and Art Sanchez Sr. had the difficult task of selecting winners in July. "We thank everyone who participated," David goes on to say. "It's never easy choosing the contest winners."
