Dial-A-Ride Services Norwalk Transit's Dial-A-Ride program is available to senior citizens (60 years and older) and disabled residents of the City of Norwalk. If you are 60 years of age or older, and a resident of Norwalk, you automatically qualify to become a registered rider. If you are disabled, you will need to have your physician fill out the medical portion of the application. We will review your application and let you know your status of eligibility within two weeks. The Dial-A-Ride vans operate on the weekdays and weekends, only within the City of Norwalk. We also offer taxi vouchers for late night transportation needs. Taxi Vouchers - Late Night Norwalk Transit offers taxicab vouchers to registered Dial-A-Ride patrons who have transportation needs during the evening hours. Each coupon has a face value of $7.00 but only cost the fare of a one-way trip on the Dial-A-Ride. Up to four people can ride using just one voucher, but the actual registered rider must be present. Taxicab coupons may be purchased from the Customer Service department. Please note: only the registered rider may purchase the vouchers, no one else may come in their place. Coupons are valid only within the city of Norwalk and must be used within 30 days of purchase. For more information, please call our Customer Service Department at (562) 929-5550.
Subregional Taxi Vouchers to Medical Offices The sub-regional taxi vouchers are for Dial-A-Ride patrons who need to travel to other cities for medical appointments. You are eligible to use these vouchers if you are a current registered rider of the Dial-A-Ride program in either Norwalk or Santa Fe Springs.
