MISSION STATEMENT
The function of the Norwalk Transit System is to provide the community it serves with the most efficient and economical public transportation services possible; in keeping with our commitment to quality, safety and effectiveness.

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES
The Norwalk Transit System (NTS) provides fixed route and Dial-A-Ride service to Norwalk and surrounding communities. Currently, the fixed route service consists of routes which service Norwalk and adjacent communities of Artesia, Bellflower, Cerritos, La Mirada, Santa Fe Springs, Whittier, and unincorporated area of Los Angeles County. The NTS Route 4 rail feeder shuttle service provides a direct connection between the Norwalk Santa Fe Springs Transportation Center (Metrolink Commuter Rail Station) and the Metro Green Line Studebaker Station (Light Rail). Span of service for weekday fixed-route service operates between 4:10 a.m. and 11:45 p.m. Weekend service is provided between 6:45 a.m. to 6:59 p.m.

NTS's demand-responsive Dial-a-Ride service is available for persons with disabilities and senior citizens from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekends. Evening weekday service, between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 10:45 p.m., and weekday interjurisdictional trips to regional medical facilities are provided via Taxicab (voucher) service.
